Open Widget in the dashboard to change how the chat looks and behaves. A live preview shows your changes before you save.
Header and greeting
- Title and subtitle: shown at the top of the chat window, for example "Chat with Northwind Bikes" and "We usually reply in a few minutes".
- Launcher greeting: a short bubble next to the chat button that invites visitors to start.
Style
- Accent color: pick one of the presets, or enter any color code to match your brand.
- Position: bottom right or bottom left of the page.
Behavior
- Show a "Talk to a person" button. It stays available throughout the chat, even mid-flow. You can rename it, for example "Chat with our team".
- Ask for an email when you're offline. Collect an email whenever nobody can reply.
- Offline message: what visitors see when nobody is online.
Branding
Business and Autopilot plans can hide the "Powered by RetroChat" badge.
Preview
Switch the preview between Chat, Offline and Closed to check each state. Save, then reload your website to see the changes live.
